WASHINGTON — Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Dave Butler provided the following readout:

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley met with Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces Gen. Joseph Aoun today in the Pentagon.

The two military leaders discussed a range of issues, including shared challenges and ways to increase coordination in areas of mutual interest.  Gen. Milley and other DoD officials reaffirmed the U.S. Government's strong support for the Lebanese Armed Forces.
