Ambassador Maura Connelly Visits Central Bank Governor Salameh

They discussed the economic situation in Lebanon.  The Ambassador welcomed the steps the Central Bank is taking to ensure a transparent and well-regulated financial sector for Lebanon's continued prosperity and encouraged further vigilance.  
She renewed the commitment of the United States to a sovereign, stable, and independent Lebanon.  
 
U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly visited Bank of Lebanon Governor Riad Salameh today at his offices.
The Ambassador was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission Richard M. Mills, Jr. who made his introductory courtesy call on the Governor.
